Doreen M. Harris is President and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), appointed on April 7, 2021, after serving as Acting President and CEO since June 2020. She leads NYSERDA’s work to advance policy frameworks, clean energy technologies, and solutions that drive statewide economic development, create hundreds of thousands of good-paying clean-energy jobs, and support an equitable economy. Under her leadership, NYSERDA is accelerating progress across infrastructure and innovation, large-scale and distributed renewables, building decarbonization, advanced nuclear, energy storage, transportation electrification, clean fuels, transmission, and resiliency. As Chair of the State Energy Planning Board, Harris helped lead the development and finalization of New York’s 2025 State Energy Plan, providing an actionable, objective framework toward an affordable, abundant, reliable, clean energy system for all New Yorkers.
